    “Rude” by Magic!

Saturday morning jumped out of bed
And put on my best suit
Got in my car and raced like a jet
All the way to you
Knocked on your door with heart in my hand
To ask you a question
‘Cause I know that you’re an old-fashioned man, yeah

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes ’cause I need to know
You say I’ll never get your blessing ’til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is ‘No’

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don’t you know I’m human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I’m gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
Yeah, no matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we’ll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude

I hate to do this, you leave no choice
Can’t live without her
Love me or hate me we will be boys
Standing at that altar
Or we will run away
To another galaxy, you know
You know she’s in love with me
She will go anywhere I go

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes ’cause I need to know
You say I’ll never get your blessing ’til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, ’cause the answer’s still ‘No”

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don’t you know I’m human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I’m gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
No matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we’ll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Rude

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes ’cause I need to know
You say, I’ll never get your blessing ’til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, but ‘No’ still means ‘No’!

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don’t you know I’m human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I’m gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
No matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we’ll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Why you gotta be so rude?

If you should fall to pieces
You know I’ll pick them up
There are so many reasons
I’m never going to get enough
If you should leave this country
You know I’ll come to you
Because you always love me
oh what I wouldn’t do
oh what I wouldn’t do

I’ll carry the weight
I’ll do anything for you
My bones may break
but I’ll never be untrue
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Oh what I wouldn’t do
Oh what I wouldn’t do

Your love is like an ocean
that always takes me home
Whispering wind is blowing
telling me I’m not alone
Your love is like a river
that I am floating down
I’ve never been a swimmer
but I know that I’ll never drown
I know that I’ll never drown

The current grows stronger
under different shades of blue
I’ve fallen in your water
forget everything I knew
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Oh what I wouldn’t do
Oh what I wouldn’t do

Oh the things I never noticed
Opened my ears to the chorus
You have made me listen careful
And you gave me the line
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
Woah-oh-oh Woah
I’ll carry the weight
I’ll do anything for you
My bones may break
but I’ll never be untrue
The current grows stronger
under different shades of blue
I’ve fallen in your water
Oh what I wouldn’t do
Oh what I wouldn’t do
oh what I wouldn’t do

So busy….

11 Feb

I had no idea that when you are a working full time, single mother of 2 boys that your life will be such a zoo!  HAha!  Its making my time here fly by so quickly.  Thank goodness I still feel like I’m 25!

So about a month ago I started (again) my weight loss journey.

I bought the program “The 5 Factor Diet”, so I was on that for about a week before I started my workout program along side it.  The 5 Factor diet is like this: 5 small meals a day, incorporating 5 types of foods (Protein, healthy carb, fruit, fat, and a no calorie beverage), with a prep time of about 5 min per meal.  It came with its own workout DVDs but I found that they were too easy for me.  (Heck ya, that’s good news)  So I turned to one of my favorite trainers, Jillian Michaels.   I purchased the Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution 90 Day workout DVDs back in the summer and got great results.  So I’m combining, for the first time ever, DIET and EXERCISE!  The scale was showing me happy things at first…like losing my Christmas 5-lbs gain right away.  The scale hasn’t really moved since my 1st week of the diet.  Which is fine.  I had a struggle thinking what is the POINT to all this effort!!???!!!  I shared my frustrations with a good friend at work, who is like an Uncle to me.  He had sat me down, and explained a few things to me that actually made sense!

How often do we quit *RIGHT* before the actual results?  Yeah, that would be me!  The advice I was given was simple.  DON’T QUIT!!  The analogy was super!  It really hit home for me.

Imagine a HUGE redwood tree.  You know the kind, you can drive your car through the trunks they are THAT wide.  So imagine this tree.  Now, without getting all environmentally silly on me, its just an analogy folks, but imagine that your intention was to chop this monster down.  You are only allowed 5 chops with an axe a day.  That’s it!  Chop-chop-chop-chop-chop.  Done.  Now imagine how long it would take you to get through that tree.  A long time?  Forever?  Perhaps.  Now say you are chopping it down for a reason…like building a home for your family, or providing firewood for heat for eternity…anyway a REASON is there.  Now imagine yourself only allowed to chop only 5 chops into this tree, with a very strong WHY!  It doesn’t seem to hard to do 5 chops a day.  TOTALLY do-able.  Now it doens’t matter now long it takes for you to get the results, the only thing that matters is that you’ve done your 5 chops, and you are consistent!

So moral of the story?  Don’t give up.  If you can find your WHY, you can tolerate any HOW.  Just get it done!  Forget what the scale says (even though I still have the bad habit of checking myself every morning, sans clothes, and post bathroom break – you know, to make sure its ‘accurate’), and feel better about yourself.  Keep chopping people!

My mother says I’ve lost a ton of inches.  I’ve noticed a few places where I’m starting to look different.  The most sad of all places….Perhaps I should start saving for a boob job for after my tree-chopping days are over.  HAHAH jk.  I’m actually totally fine with my body, even now!  But from the advice from my doctor, I must lose 40 lbs, and heal my toxic liver.  Its also helping me with my back issues.

I feel stronger.  Better.  More confident.

Thank you my office Uncle to help me get over myself, stop feeling sorry for myself, and get on it!

Apply this analogy with anything you are struggling with right now.  Same thing!  Just get at it people.  🙂

Just a quick note….

18 Jan

Ok, how do you post about posting later?!  HAHAHA

So, I’ve slacked off in the blogging department….like seriously bad!

Some of you may have come from my old blog...and here’s the new one.

New life + new chapter = New blog.  right?  right.

Party party party

21 Nov

Wow – this week is just flying by.  I’m finding myself filling my day with work, chores, making meals, cleaning, tending children, hauling them to activities etc.  Oh I love being a single mom.  Actually I love being a mom single or married.  But it just makes my life more exciting when I can actually set goals and accomplish them.

I have a Scentsy Party to go to tonight at my cousins house.  She’s hosting.  Bless her heart.  I love it when I get family support for my business.

Halloween 2012

1 Nov

Ya know?  I really get excited about my kids getting a chance to dress up, and get to know my neighborhood.  I spend more time getting them ready to go and out the door than we do actually trick or treating.  HA!  Oh how times have changed eh?  So what am I really disappointed about?  My kids got to have their fun, they hadn’t reached the point of freezing  (as their snowgear was UNDER their costumes), we got home before bed time, we unloaded our 1/4 bagfull of candy, went upstairs and snuggled under a warm duvet!  Really, it was a great night.  Times like this, I cherish.  My kids are still young enough where they actually want me to spend time with them.  Thankfully, I’m still in that section of their lives where I get to snuggle with them, hold them, hug them, and chase them around the house with my tickles.

*sigh*

Take a moment people.  Take that moment to really cherish to the good, even the bad and the ugly (maybe at a lesser degree of course), and really dig deep give thanks!  We have a great country.  We have employment opportunities EVERYWHERE, we have a great government, and sometimes I take all that for granted.

I love what I do in my spare time.  I’m a Scentsy consultant!  I love that I can brighten people’s lives with not only an awesome product, but a wonderful COMPANY.   A company that teaches you to give more than you take is one to hang on to, I’d say.

Hello world!

14 May

Hello World,

I would like to introduce myself to the blogosphere.  My name is Debbie Jo Willard,  I have laid my other personal blog to rest, as this one will be my major blogging source.  I’m liking the functionality of WordPress more than Blogger, so we’ll see.

As I look outside, I see that it looks like Christmas outside, when in fact, it’s not!  Its October.  And normally I’m all about the Christmas Spirit early, but I find that October Christmas Trees are as appalling as seeing Christmas displays at Costco during Summer.  HA!  It will allow me to get outside and actually enjoy the new sport I’ve taken up.  SNOW SHOEING!   I actually like getting outside and enjoying the fresh, crisp air.  I find it a bit tough when you are breathing heavily through – 30C weather…hopefully our winter will not get THAT bad.  Of course, you never know.  I could get lucky, right?  Right.

Well, I knew that my first post would be short and sweet.  Still trying to get my creative juices flowing.
